Shannon Fernandez-Denmark

Dr. Shannon Fernandez grew up in Florida and received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Tampa in 2018 and her Doctor or Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2024. Before her time in veterinary school, Dr. Fernandez gained most of her veterinary experience working with wildlife on Cape Cod and was also a small animal technician. During veterinary school she continued to gain a passion for wildlife and exotic medicine, and also found interests in small animal internal medicine, dentistry and Fear Free practice. Dr. Fernandez also received professional certificates in Shelter Medicine and Veterinary Business Management while in veterinary school. 

In her free time, Dr. Fernandez enjoys visiting local restaurants, thrifting, and playing recreational sports such as volleyball and pickleball. She also looks forward to spending her down time staying home watching a good movie with her fiance and two cats Waffles and Nugget.
